Annandale Home Group
Sundays, 4 p.m., home of Deke and Anna Moeller  
The purpose of our home group is to grow in Christ, to care for one another, serve our community, and to share the good news. Children are welcome. The Moeller family consists of Deke and Anna, and 9-year old daughter Kamila.  In their former church, they were members of a home group for several years, where they grew in biblical understanding, discipleship, and fellowship.  They would love to continue to share their experience with AUMC and community. Bailey’s Crossroads Group,

Our mission is to pause in our busy, congested area to actually see one another, have thought-provoking discussion, build relationships, and share Christ. We meet at City Diner Restaurant at 5616 Leesburg Pike. Candace has lived in Arlington for 15 years.  She has been active in music ministry for many churches, including cantoring at a Catholic Church.  She is also a newly trained Stephen Minister and has been a Certified Lay Servant and UMW board member at Sydenstricker UMC. She recently enrolled at Wesley Theological Seminary.

Centering Prayer Group,
Mondays, 9:30 a.m., Room 308, Dottie Rogerson and Becki Stewart
If you are seeking a meaningful way to begin the week in a quiet place away from the busy pace of life and to spend more time with God, Centering Prayer may serve your needs.  This time includes a practice of silence in which we open the mind and heart to God’s transforming work. All are welcome from those with experience to those new to the practice. Our time together includes supporting one another and discussing a short piece of spiritual wisdom.

Grace and Truth Small Group,
1st/3rd Mondays, 7 p.m., Parlor,

This group meets every two weeks for fellowship, study, and discussion. This fall, the class will study the Epistle of James. For more information, contact Gary FitzGibbon at 703-963-8707.

Bible Study,
Tuesdays, 10 a.m., Room 300, Ramona Thompson

This women’s Bible study has attracted participants from within Annandale as well as other area churches. This fall, the class will study the New Testament Epistles of Paul.

A Closer Walk Bible Study,
Tuesdays, 7 p.m., Room 307,  Pam Adams
  
This fall, the class will study the Epistle to the Hebrews. Written mainly to the Hebrew believers, the letter connects the dots between the Old and New Testaments, and presents the Lord Jesus Christ as perfect and superior in comparison to the old covenant. Through this study, we will explore what God has done through Jesus Christ and, in doing so, grow our faith and personal relationship with our Lord and Savior. Prepare to be blessed.

Prayer & Praise Bible Study,
Wednesdays, 7:30 a.m., Room 307, Rudy Meekins
This group meets weekly to pray together, study the bible, fellowship with one another, and hear from various guest speakers, including clergy, missionaries, and Christian world leaders.

Thursday Night Bible Study/Disciple Fast Track
Thursdays, 7 p.m., Room 209, Rev. Dr. Clarence Brown, Jr.
This class provides an engaging study of the Bible in a book by book, chapter by chapter method. It is especially for persons new to the Bible or who want in-depth study. This fall, the class will study Disciple 1 Fast Track, a curriculum similar to Disciple Bible Study but in a 24-week format. Classes study the Old and New Testaments for 12 sessions each. Participants read 3–5 chapters of the Bible each day. The result is growth and transformation as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Alexandria Home Group
Thursdays, 6 p.m., home of Jerry and Margaret Bruce
8:30 and 11:00  a.m.This home group seeks to provide a community connection.  In a world of disconnection, our group offers a safe place to be heard and embraced. We will offer a light dinner so people coming from work can be nourished, have a sense of community and discover some treasures from our group study. Jerry and Margaret have been involved with ministry for over 45 years with the Navy, Marine Corps and civilian churches. They lived in Europe for 23 years where Jerry served in ministry in Italy and England.  Both have worked with church and military chapel programs and small groups. 1 Kings Men’s Bible Study,
1st/4th Saturdays, 7:30 a.m., Jukebox Diner backroom, Bill Iwig
This men’s group meets for breakfast, fellowship, encouragement, and Bible Study twice a month at the Jukebox Diner, utilizing the Master Builders Bible for Men. The group regularly provides financial support for programs at AUMC. All men of the church are warmly invited to join.
